I'm an EMDR therapist in Phoenix AZ and here is how I help.
My name is Kandace Ledergerber (she/her). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher*. Through EMDR therapy, I help hard-working, anxious overachievers who have survived trauma and are exhausted from constantly dealing with the triggers, anxiety, and stress learn to find grounding, process traumatic memories, and find their authentic voice.

The clients who have chosen me to walk alongside them in their healing journey experience a shift over time in therapy, not just in their level of anxiety but in their relationships, feelings of self-worth, and perspective. The only homework I ask clients to complete is to put into practice the skills they are learning in session, but there won’t be any worksheets or book assignments (unless that’s how you learn and want to!). There will be validation, humor, and even some sarcasm, in the midst of healing through pain. As a therapist, I am intentional about creating a safe space for people who have been and are marginalized. All people are welcome in my office, and who they are as people holistically matters. I do my best work with people who align with the value of inclusivity in their own lives as well.

Over the last 10 years, I have worked with people who have experienced trauma and struggle with anxiety, worry, and stress. I work with clients weekly so they have consistent support and so we can build a foundation of resources where they can find some relief from the anxiety and stress and process past trauma through EMDR. As a yoga teacher*, I will often integrate body movement or meditation so you have tools to help you find calm daily. Therapy doesn’t have to feel like some scary mystery; it can be a place of growth, self-discovery, and the healing you’ve been craving for so long.
